Don't go teasing scenes

Warning! Sounds of Love Spoilers:

Well, I've inadvertently caused myself to have to write a specific scene for Sounds of Love. It's my fault because I kept teasing it within the story and I kept revising it and adding more depth to it. I'm referring to the Anime Convention that Sumi is attenting. It was at first, just a minor background detail, then she asked Marissa to be her date.

I should have left well enough alone, but it kept resurfacing and Sumi began talking more about anime and her she loves to cosplay. Then she talked Marissa into cosplaying with her. Still, the scene could have faded into nothingness but yet again, Sumi just had to remind Marissa about the convention and get the brilliant idea of what costume Marissa could wear. It was even worse then Azumi offered to make Marissa the costume. So, yeah, they're officially going to the anime convention within the story now.

It's funny that I was reading an article in Writer's Digest about this exact thing. Basically, don't make promises for scenes and events then don't follow through. That really annoys the reader. Besides, I'm sure people are just drying to know how Sumi is going to pull off Mina Tepes.
End of Spoilers

In other news, Syfy is debuting a new show tonight, Lost Girl. It's about a woman who discovers she's a succubus. It sounds interesting. I actually have a succubus character in the Bloody Kisses revamp (no pun intended). I'll see how this series goes, or better yet, I'll invest in two episodes to see it's worth my time. I'm so tired, need to stop those late night Saints Row: The third co-op sessions.

Seriously, I've had it with this keyboard. The keys are SO stiff now, it's annoying to type. I need something new, and I like this one. Damn, I need a reinforced keyboard. I really wonder if this is common with writers, or do I just keep getting flimsy keyboards?

Oh and I'm going to the Atlanta Sony PSVita on Wednesday. It's going to be awesome and I'll get a free shirt...and a chance to  win a Vita. I totally want that shirt though. Yes, I'm odd.
